I restarted my dormant writing career at metal blog The Toilet ov Hell covering personally interesting music. From there, I branched out to covering underground metal, hardcore, and experimental music for outlets such as Bandcamp, Invisible Oranges, and Revolver.

creative writing

I hold an MFA in fiction writing from the University of Florida and studied with Booker Prize winner Marlon James at Macalester College. My creative writing and poetry have also appeared in national journals, and I am currently shopping my first novel, Bonn, a genre-blending historical work set in West Germany during the ’90s, while working on a second.
